press release #1 Video Named Runner-Up in National Video Contest
Edina, Minnesota (April 10, 2008) – Annie and Bob Pacieznik, RE/MAX Realtors, are proud to announce their promotional video was recently named runner-up in a national video contest held through Activerain.com.
Activerain.com is a real estate social network with more than 60,000 members. They recently held a contest to encourage real estate professionals to use video to help promote their brand and grow their business. The challenge for agents was to create a 3 minute (or less) video promoting the agents, their real estate business, community, company or listing. The video submission deadline was April 4th and winners were announced April 8th.
Annie and Bob came in as a runner-up after submitting a video titled Annie and Bob Pacieznik: A Name in Real Estate You Might Not Be Able to Pronounce But Can Certainly Trust. The Pacieznik’s visited local businesses and filmed people attempting to pronounce their last name. The team said, “Our goal was to make a humorous video that not only played with our name but also gave people a better idea of who we are and what we’re like to work with.”
The Web 2.0 transition seen on the internet, from static to interactive websites has made its way to real estate marketing as well. New tools such as blogs and online videos have become an integral part of the Real Estate 2.0 marketing plan. “We have a couple of blogs, like Annie’s Home Staging Blog, that allow us to connect with prospective clients, even before we meet them in person.” As for videos, the Pacieznik’s produce videos for each of their listings and include videos in their blogs. “We believe video is the future of real estate marketing...it’s not only a unique and effective way to help our sellers (especially in today’s market), it’s also a great way for us to show others how much we love and have fun doing what we do.”
